Welcome aboard the Lady Renee...
The Lady Renee is a 40 ft. deep sea
fishing boat with twin 3208 turbo caterpillar diesels engines,
custom built by Newton Boatworks of
Kenner, LA. She is Coast Guard certified for in shore fishing
for up to 14
persons and for offshore up to 13 persons. The Lady Renee
adheres to the most up to date coast guard
safety standards for the safety of our passengers and crew.
She has a walk around configuration and a comfortable air-conditioned salon area, enclosed
private restroom (head),and microwave.
She features State of the Art electronics including: VHF radio, single side band
radios, fish finder, depth sonar equipment, gps and loranc.
Meet the Crew
Capt Francis Hutson, Jr. has spent almost his entire life on
the water, as well as serving 3 years in the US Navy at the end of the
Korean conflict. Capt'n Francis is a beloved icon of the
Southwest Florida fishing scene in Ft. Myers Beach and has been
guiding fisherman in Florida since 1969.
The Capt'n hails from the Eastern shore of Maryland, (St. Michaels area) where he was a commercial shell fisherman and
charter boat operator until Dec 1969 when he moved to Cape
Coral, Florida and started his Deep Sea Fishing Chart Boat
service out of Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
The original boat he brought from the Chesepeake Bay was the
Lady Evelyn (named after his mother). Shortly after he had a
custom 6 passenger
boat named the Miss Renee (named after his daughter) built. In 1973 he
purchased a 51 ft. certified sport fisherman also named the Miss
Renee. At the time he also had a 6 passenger, Miss Renee II.
In October 2000 he purchased his present boat, the Lady Renee.
